agentring cloud · Android · open source

Your AI agent
can call you.

When your agent needs a decision, hits a wall or finishes a long job, your phone rings like a real call, even locked. A voice AI explains what's going on, you talk it through, and the agent gets the transcript and carries on.

Free plan, no card. No phone numbers, no Twilio, no Firebase project, no server to run.

Works with the agent you already use

  • Claude Code
  • Codex
  • opencode
  • OpenClaw
  • Hermes
  • n8n
  • scripts & cron
  • any MCP client

01 / demo

A real run, not a mock-up

A migration fails, Claude Code calls the locked phone, you decide, it carries on. A Pixel 6, the voice AI and Claude Code, with only the waits cut.

Screen recording: on the left, Claude Code runs a database migration that fails and places a call through agentring. On the right, a locked Android phone shows a full-screen incoming call; it is answered, the voice AI explains the failure, and the user decides to roll back. Claude Code receives the transcript and continues.
Silent version. Watch it with sound (the phone is a screen recording with the call audio; the terminal is redrawn from Claude Code's output).

02 / how it works

Three steps, about five minutes

  1. Install the app

Get the agentring app on your Android phone. It uses Android's own call screen, so it rings through a locked screen and Doze.

    Download the APK

  2. Sign in & scan the QR

Sign in on the web with a magic link. Your dashboard shows a QR code: scan it with the app and the phone is paired.

  3. Add one MCP URL to your agent

Copy the command from your dashboard. Your agent gets send_message, get_replies and call.

claude mcp add --transport http agentring https://agentring.io/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ak_…"

Then just ask: run the migration and call me if anything fails.

03 / what you get

Your agent reaches you. You reach your agents.

It rings like a real call

Native full-screen call UI, on a locked phone, even after hours in Doze. Urgent calls can bypass Do Not Disturb if you allow it.

A voice that knows why it's calling

A realtime voice AI explains what the agent needs, answers your questions and hands the transcript back. Your agent stays the brain.

Messages with inline reply

Your agent can message you and wait for an answer. Reply straight from the notification, without opening anything.

Nothing gets lost

A missed call turns into a message you can answer from the notification. Your agent reads the reply and carries on.

Call your agents back

Tap Call agent in the app and ask by voice. Needs your agent connected through the agentring daemon (agentring serve --ai) on your own machine. If an agent is slow, its answer arrives when it's ready, or as a message after you hang up.

No phone numbers

Calls go over the internet straight to the app: no carrier, no Twilio, no per-minute telephony fees, nothing to verify.

Things people use it for

  • “Run the migration and call me if anything fails.”
  • “Ask me before you deploy.”
  • “What did CI say?” while driving.
  • A daily call with your assistant about your inbox.

Questions

What do you store, and is my call audio recorded?

Call audio is not recorded. We store your account email, the names of the phones you pair and their push tokens, the messages between your agent and you, and call metadata (when, how long, the reason your agent gave, who hung up). It lives in your own isolated space on our server and is deleted when you delete your account.

During a call, the audio is streamed to a voice AI provider so the voice AI can talk with you, and the transcript goes to your agent. Notifications are delivered through Google's push service. Payments go through Stripe. The details are in the privacy policy.

Does it work on iPhone?

Not yet: agentring is Android only for now (Android 8 or newer). An iOS app is planned. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know.

How can it call me without a phone number?

agentring isn't a phone line. When your agent calls, our server sends a high-priority push that wakes the app, and the app shows Android's native incoming-call screen, the same one messaging apps use for voice calls. When you answer, the audio flows over the internet (WebRTC) between your phone and the voice AI. No carrier, no SIM, no per-minute telephony fees.

It can't call regular phone numbers, and it is not a replacement for a phone service or for emergency calls.

Which agents does it work with?

Anything that speaks MCP gets the tools from one URL: Claude Code, Codex, opencode, OpenClaw, Hermes and other MCP clients. n8n, scripts and cron jobs can use the REST API or the agentring CLI. Setup recipes for each are in the docs.

What happens when I hit a limit?

New calls or messages are refused until the limit resets (call minutes monthly, messages at midnight UTC), and a call in progress ends when the month's minutes run out. Your agent gets a clear error, so it can fall back to something else. You can upgrade at any time from the dashboard.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from the billing page in your dashboard in a couple of clicks. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. No contracts, no cancellation fees.

Self-host or cloud: which one should I use?

Same open-source software either way. Self-hosted is free and unlimited, and everything stays on your machines, but you run a server (or your own computer with Docker), create a Firebase project and bring a voice AI key. agentring cloud does all of that for you: install the app, sign in, scan a QR code, add one URL. You can move to self-hosting whenever you like; you just pair your phone with your own server.
